Join us in Manchester for a dynamic Women in Tech Week event hosted by WeAreTechWomen and Accenture, where we’ll bring together cutting-edge research, lived experience, and leadership insight to explore how careers in technology are evolving and what needs to change to build a more inclusive future.

The session will kick off with a speed networking exercise to help attendees connect and build meaningful relationships. This will be followed by an overview of the Lovelace Report and an exclusive preview of the forthcoming City of London Report, which highlights the value of hiring women from non-traditional routes like boot camps and short courses, as well as reskilling women internally to fill tech vacancies. The report showcases the value and benefit of transferable skills and how they can be applied in a range of different digital roles, emphasising that this untapped talent provides a compelling solution to widespread tech and digital vacancies, which are restricting the UK’s productivity and limiting the ability of businesses to fully embrace new digital technologies.

A diverse panel of young professionals and senior leaders – including voices from Accenture will then share perspectives on the “then and now” of tech careers. Together, they’ll examine how opportunities, barriers, and expectations have shifted over time, and what organisations can do to better support the next generation of talent.

The event will conclude with interactive table discussions and personal pledges, giving attendees the opportunity to reflect, share insights, and commit to actions that will support women in tech careers going forward.
