About our speakers
Amy Williams, Head of Core Infrastructure Platform, Barclays
Amy joined Barclays in June 2017 and is a member of the GTIS CTO Leadership team, as the Head of Core Infrastructure Platform. Prior to joining the infrastructure organisation, Amy worked in BUK Technology.
The primary goal of the Core Infrastructure Platform Team is to enable our Container First Strategy, delivering world class infrastructure hosting solutions through seamless experiences, at the right price point. Our team consists of c2k colleagues globally across the UK, India and US – spanning technology products across Data Centres, Storage, Mainframe & Midrange, Database, Integration Services, Private Cloud Hosting, Public Cloud, Observability, Platform Automation and Site Reliability Engineering.
In addition, Amy is the Executive Site Lead for Barclays at Radbroke and works with senior leaders across the campus to help shape and drive the colleague engagement agenda, talent attraction, and corporate real estate teams through the major refurbishment of our site – ensuring we are building and curating a world-class place for our c6.5k colleagues based at Radbroke.
Amy mentors and coaches a number of colleagues, with a particular focus on senior female technology talent to help them succeed in their careers at Barclays and is co-sponsor of our EMEA Women In Technology network – a cornerstone of our Opportunity & Inclusion agenda.
Prior to joining Barclays, Amy worked at Accenture for 11 years, largely focused on delivery of complex systems integrations programmes at a number of UK Financial Services Institutions.
Outside of work, Amy is a keen (but average) runner & HIIT participant, has a beehive in the back garden and a 5 year old sourdough starter – baking bread has become quite a big hobby.
